It is delighting that the Association
of Disabled Ex-Service Personnel are launching their own website.
Through this website, the vision of their Association coupled
with current activities and major objectives will be shared
by concerned people not only in Sri Lanka but also world wide.
In my pioneering efforts towards the march in the achievement
of peace in Sri Lanka, I have been closely associated with the
Association of Disabled Ex-Service Personnel. Although they
are victims of the bitter war their contribution in achieving
peace in Sri Lanka is highly laudable. They along with their
families have the first hand experience of suffering being victims
of the war. Their clamor is indeed for peace. Their advocacy
therefore is of paramount importance in this timely situation
of the bold steps of Hon. Ranil Wickremasinghe, Prime Minister
in harnessing diverse elements in the achievement of lasting
peace.
As the Minister of Rehabilitation, Resettlement and Refugees,
I have closely associated with their work of Association of
Disabled Ex-Service Personnel, and it is heartening to state
that the Association is totally committed to build lasting friendship
and understanding among the people and families in the North
and the South of Sri Lanka.
I therefore, congratulate the Association of Disabled Ex-Service
Personnel in launching this website which will be creating new
vistas for broader and meaningful relationships with all like
minded people who have the commitment in contributing towards
peace in Sri Lanka and world over. |
