Out of the 17 Rana Viru Villages in Sri Lanka
we have selected 5 villages for a Development Project for children.
They are Salawa, Dambagoda, Ibbagamuwa, Mirijjawila and Lunugamvehera.
With the financial support and guidance of Save the Children-Norway,
we are providing training and connected workshops to develop
the skills of children while supplementing the required books,
sports gear and educational implements.
Four libraries were newly opened and the only one available
was supplied with more books. Three Pre-schools were opened
and altogether 10 teachers were trained up to Diploma Level
and children of Ranaviru villages were taught Tamil Language,
Dancing and music with the support given by SCN.
