Career Support
Some of the members were found employments in capacities that
they are capable of handling, according to their disability
position. With this help of an organization who are funding
employment in Foreign Land. Our members were also accommodated
in getting suitable jobs. This was done partly on a welfare
basis, as the agency did not charge any money.
Educational
Support
With the help of individuals and organizations who are willing
to help our members, we obtain scholarships to be distributed
among the children of our |

| members. The children who were given scholarships benefited
immensely for their progress in the educational field. |

Walking Aids
For those members who require Walking Aids and equipment, ADEP
provided them with artificial limbs, wheel chairs, Clutches
and portable commodes. Some individuals as well as organizations
were responsible
in providing the facilities to us. |

Financial Aids
Financial aids in the form of low interest loans were obtained
from Seylan Bank for the needy to start and improve the handcrafts
and cottage industries in small scale. These were given without
any out side guarantees. The interesting feature of this "Gramin
Bank" scheme was that the principal loan amount increased
according to the payment.
Our members who are victimized due to the conflict which is
prevailing in Sri Lanka today has to be looked after as they
have suffered due to dedicated services in safe guarding sovereignty
of Sri Lanka. Some have sacrificed their lives, some have lost
their limbs and many have gone blind or lost hearing. So

| there are many ways that one could help us for a worthy cause.
Due to the heavy demand and lack of funds many members are deprived
of the required limbs, |
|
arms, wheel chairs and other facilities required
by them. Another factor is the price of these items where an
ordinary well wisher could ill afford.
Hence we are compelled to appeal to the international community
